* Hans J. Wegner is the designer of the famous Shell lounge armchair. He is considered as one of the most creative, innovative and prolific designers. Often referred to as the master of the chair, Wegner created almost 500 in his lifetime – many of them considered masterpieces.

• Back and seat of the armchair are made of walnut-colored plywood with great durability and wear resistance.
• The high back hugs and follows the spine, supporting the waist. It has a modern curved design and pattern.

Material information:

• Pu – Faux leather / leatherette (Upholstery): PU is imitation leather and usually refers to the polymer polyurethane (Polyurethane), a material that is widely used in many sectors due to its excellent properties. It has satisfactory durability, is easy to clean, is waterproof, does not deform and is environmentally friendly.

• Plywood: Plywood is a strong and durable wood product made from thin wood veneers glued at right angles. It is commonly used  for construction (roofing, subflooring, siding), high-end furniture, and cabinetry. It is extremely weather-resistant, ideal for outdoor furniture, such as tables, chairs, deck chairs, and benches.

Maintenance instructions:

• PU leatherette:  Use a soft cloth to remove any dust from the surface. For stains, use lukewarm water and mild soap and wipe the area. Always dry the surface afterwards with a dry cloth to avoid water marks.

• Plywood: Start by removing dust and debris from the plywood surface with a soft cloth or brush. You can also use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush for best results. If a deep cleaning is needed, dampen a soft cloth with water and a mild detergent or soap. If the plywood will be used outdoors or in high humidity areas, apply an appropriate finish or cover to protect the surface from further damage.
