Smart Living combines the strength of its two founders and current partners who practiced architecture, lighting and urban development in international companies in Rome and Vienna prior establishing Smart Living in 2011 in Skopje. Bojana Mirkovska, MA is a professional lighting planner and architect with a Master Degree in lighting in architecture from the La Sapienza University in Rome. Ivan Mirkovski, MA, awarded with the State Award for Architecture 2015 is a university lecturer in urban design studies since 2009 and a professional architect, with a Master Degree from the Technical University of Vienna and a Doctoral Degree candidate.

Smart Living operates intra-company on two different segments. Smart Living – architecture studio and Smart Living – concept store for design and lighting. Our main segment, the architecture studio is a fully functional design and architecture practice with licence for practicing architecture from the Macedonian Chamber of Engineers and Architects. Our focus is laid in the segments of housing and commercial interior projects, shopping, fair pavilions, hotels, multi-functional spaces, restaurants and all types of gastronomy, housing and specific projects as galleries, museum spaces, re-development of old industrial buildings as well as lighting solutions and photometric planning.
Our aim is implementation of sophisticated and contemporary project design and thinking methodologies into our tasks: we have all our internal processes according to ISO standardization, sophisticated software platforms for internal management, cad software, logistics and finances. Our team covers all aspects of our work – we do not outsource our primary domain. Our team is organized as follows: architecture and design, project management, light planning, electrical engineering, installations, logistics and finances. With our well managed and regulated environment Smart Living is capable of delivering professional solutions in architecture, building, urban design, interior design, light planning, furnishing and custom design, design concepts and installation.
Smart Living is part of larger partnership of sister companies: Kare Macedonia, Salon 29, and Velvet Vienna – interior design company from Vienna. Together we offer a wide portfolio of solutions, logistics and international know-how.
